В продолжении темы про приведение фонотеки iTunes в порядок, хотелось бы осветить еще несколько утилит для работы с вашей музыкальной медиатекой.
В приведенной выше статье, хабраюзер написал про SongGenie & CoverScout 3, а так же упомянул утилиту MPFreaker.
У каждой из этих программ есть свои возможности, предназначение, а так же как плюсы так и минусы. Опять-таки все эти программы платные.
Что же еще есть достойного внимания для редактирования тэгов mp3-файлов.

TriTag

Данная утилитка умеет делать очень ценную операцию — это получать тэги из имен файлов. Другие возможности это программы: переименовывание файлов согласно тэгам, создание структуры каталогов (а-ля iTunes, т.е. артист/альбом/трек.mp3). Так же была возможность работать с FreeDB, но к сожалению сейчас эта возможность недоступна из-за того, что MAGIX удалил веб-интерфейс для доступа к базе.
Лично я ей очень часто пользуюсь, потому как я всегда перед добавлением файлов в медиатеку iTunes, просматриваю и редактирую тэги, иначе потом разбирать кучу Track 1-файлов в iTunes радости мне не доставляет.
Собственно единственное, чего это программа не умеет — это добавлять обложки, но с этим отлично справляется CoverScout. Хотя лично я обычно сам ищу картинки в google images и вставляю их в айтюнс.

Эта программа умеет, можно сказать, все то же самое, что и TriTag плюс кое-что еще: работать с тэгами как одного файла, так и сразу нескольких, переименовывать файлы и директории, согласно тегам, делать запросы к FreeDB и musicbrainz. В случае, если программа сама не смогла найти данные на FreeDB, можно самому указать артиста и альбом, и тогда программа найдет совпадения на FreeDB. Однако есть одна особенность, о которой надо помнить — это то, что файлы должны быть расположены в правильной последовательности, программа не умеет понимать какой файл должен быть первым, а какой вторым. Еще один минус — иногда бывают проблемы с русскими названиями.
В целом, программа удобна. Еще бы ей функционал из TriTag’а и было бы вообще замечательно.

ID3 Editor

Что хорошего можно сказать про эту программку. Единственное, что она умеет — это редактировать тэги одного единственного открытого файла. Собственно все. Ах да, не забудьте про цену в 12 Евро!

Это целый набор средств для работы с ID3-тэгами. С помощью этой программы можно редактировать тэги, анализировать и выравнивать уровень звука в мп3-файлах, проигрывать файлы, не выходя из программы, переименовывать файлы, находить обложки, искать на FreeDB, перемещать медиатеку, конвертировать в разные форматы и многое другое. Программа умеет работать с MP3, AAC/MP4, FLAC, AIFF, WAVE, BWF, Ogg Vorbis. Так же нельзя не упомянуть такую возможность, как конвейерное выполнение набора утилит. В общем, все что нужно и даже больше в одном флаконе.

MusicBrainz Picard

MusicBrainz Picard — это кроссплатформенная программа (написанная на Питоне) для работы с мп3-тэгами с использованием MusicBrainz. Она поддерживает все основные форматы аудио-файлов, умеет вычислять и искать по disk ID (для CD-дисков), хорошая поддержка юникода. Кстати, на сайте есть подробная How-To для использования программы.

По наводке добавлена в список. The Tagger умеет редактировать теги сразу у нескольких файлов, делать запросы к Discogs, переименовывать файлы согласно тэгам, получать теги из имен файлов, редактировать обложки.

По наводке добавлена в список. Kid3 — это кросс-платформенный тэггер. Он умеет редактировать теги сразу у нескольких файлов, делать запросы к Discogs, gnudb, MusicBrainz, TrackType.org, копировать данные из id3v1 в id3v2 и наоборот, переименовывать файлы согласно тэгам, получать теги из имен файлов, работать с обложками, правда делает он это своеобразно — открывает вам гугл-images и предлагает перетащить найденную обложку в программу.

Заключение.

Вот и все приложения, про которые я хотел рассказать. Единственное, что можно еще упомянуть программу Song Sergeant. Но она все-таки предназначена именно для работы с медиатекой iTunes. Она умеет находить дубликаты песен в вашей медиатеке, умеет находить пропущенные(не найденные) файлы, показывать файлы с неправильными именами, а так же все это приводить в порядок. Но поскольку к редактированию тэгов она не имеет отношения, в обзор ее включать не стал.
В завершении обзора решил сделать сводную табличку по основным возможностям программ.

How to Rename Tags on Mac

If you use the Tags feature to tag files and folders on the Mac you may find it helpful to know that you can edit and rename tags to be more descriptive or to better suit your purposes for those tags.

For example, perhaps you want to rename some tags to be used as indicator of priority, so rather than having a tag simply named “Red” or “Blue” you could rename those tags to be “Urgent” and “Low Priority”. Or perhaps you’d like tags named something like “Personal”, “Family”, and “Work”, or to be project specific, or anything of that sort. Renaming tags on the Mac is easy, as you’ll see.

How to Rename Tags on Mac OS

The process of renaming tags works the same on all versions of Mac OS:

1. From the Finder on the Mac, pull down the “Finder” window and choose “Preferences” (you can also hit Command , to open Finder Preferences)
2. Choose the “Tags” tab
3. Select the tag you want to rename and then click the tag name text, OR right click on the tag name and choose “Rename (tagname)”

Give the tag a new name and then hit the return key

Repeat with other tags to edit and rename them as needed

Exit out of Finder Preferences when finished

Changing the name of the tag will carry throughout the entire file system rather quickly, so if you have applied that tag to files or folders you will find that shortly the new tag name will set for each of those tagged items.

How to Edit Tag Names from Finder Sidebar on Mac

You can also rename tags directly from the Finder Sidebar, assuming you have Tags visible and not hidden in Finder sidebar. Doing this is super easy, just right-click the tag name and choose to “Rename” the tag from there:

File tagging can be a powerful way to label and sort files and folders on the Mac, so familiarizing yourself with how to use tags is a good idea, and you can even tag files by keystroke or by drag and drop. And of course you can remove tags from files and folders too at any time, they are not permanently applied to anything in Finder.
