Как установить универсальный драйвер HP
Для установки любой модели принтера, сканера или МФУ необходимо использовать драйвер, который создавался именно под эту модель. Найти нужный дистрибутив не всегда легко. Чтобы облегчить задачу пользователям, компания HP выпустила универсальный дистрибутив, который подходит для многих моделей устройств производителя. Использовать его можно для разных операционных систем. Скачать универсальный драйвер можно вверху этой страницы. Там две ссылки, они различаются по разрядности операционной системы. Если вы не знаете, какая у вас разрядность, прочитайте инструкцию, как ее узнать.
Когда определитесь, какой драйвер вам нужен, нажмите на соответствующую ссылку и сохраните программу. Для установки необходимо, чтобы у вас на компьютере был архиватор. Эта программа вам потребуется и в дальнейшем, поэтому, если ее нет, скачайте и установите.
Запустите скаченный универсальный драйвер двойным щелчком мыши. В строке «Unzip to folder» указано место, куда будут сохранены временные файлы. Если хотите, можете его изменить. Потом нажмите «Unzip».
В новом окне представлен текст лицензионного соглашения. Пролистайте его и нажмите «Да».
Выбираем режим установки. Нам нужен «Обычный режим», поэтому нажмите по первому кружочку и на «Далее».
Система начнет искать устройство, которое подключено к компьютеру. Соедините оборудование с компьютером и включите его. Подождите немного, кнопка «Готово» должна стать активной. Нажмите на нее.
Если ваша модель выпускается давно, автоматический поиск может не помочь. В этом случае появится окно, где надо выбрать первый пункт и нажать «Далее».

PCL 6 will NOT work for one of our applications, it has to PCL5 or 5e. HP only offers PCL6. I’m about to try a Win 7 64-bit PCL5 Universal Driver, but would prefer a Windows 10 driver.

P.S. — conversely, you could use the following link which is actually a Windows 8.1 UPD PCL5. I have downloaded, extracted, and successfully installed on my 10 pro system.

What printer make & model ?
I think he does not want a print driver for HP printers. he wants a printer driver for Windows 10 .
This is like I had a «super user» who wanted to edit a file.txt. But she does not want to use notepad as this is a text file not a note, then also does not want to use M$ Word as the text file contain many words.
HP still offers the UPD driver in PCL5 but has not updated it for quite a while. Still works if you really have applications that need it and I know they are around. Version 5.9 is the last and best. If you have trouble getting it let me know and I can upload to a dropbox for you.

That win 8.1 UPD driver is the same as the one I downloaded for Win 7. So I will go ahead and use that one.

Been there, done that — that link only offers a PCL6 driver for Win10-64.
Sorry I wasn’t clear — I want an HP Universal PCL5 Driver. The Universal part means it will work with a variety of HP and non-HP printers that support PCL5. The exact model is immaterial, but to be totally clear: HP Laserjet M402n, HP Laserjet M604, HP Laserjet P4014 and Ricoh Aficio MP 4002. I know that the universal driver does not support any special features of each printer BUT it does select paper source properly for all. I have been using a HP Universal PCL5 for Windows 7-32 bit successfully for years with all these, and other, printers.
