AcSvc.exe — что это за процесс? (программа Thinkvantage Access Connections)
Thinkvantage Access Connections (AcSvc.exe) — программа-помощник для подключения к сети на ноутбуках Lenovo. При помощи данной программы можно быстро переключать параметры (профили) разных сетей/подключений.
Приложение существовало еще во времена Windows XP.
В каждом профиле местоположения хранятся параметры конфигурации сети и интернета, которые нужны для подключения к интернету из дома или из работы. При этом сетевое подключение может быть выполнено при помощи модема, проводного сетевого адаптера, широкополосного устройства (модема). VPN-сети сети также поддерживаются. Процесс запускается из папки:
Полное описание процесса — ThinkVantage Access Connections Main Service Module Lenovo, и процесс относится соответственно к утилите от ThinkPad — ConnectUtilities. Другими словами это фирменный софт для ноутбуков Lenovo.
Так что именно это за программа?
Как я понял — она является что-то вроде менеджером подключений.
Например как мы можем подключиться к интернету? При помощи:
- Модема, то есть использовать мобильный интернет.
- Используя Wi-Fi. Кстати интернет вроде может быть даже по блютузу.
- Подключившись к локальной сети и используя VPN-подключение. Да, такое редко бывает, но бывает.
- Обычный проводной интернет по кабелю Ethernet (витая пара) или оптоволокно. Или даже по телевизионному кабелю.
Это не все варианты. Но сложность еще в том, что интернет может быть у вас дома, на работе, в гостинице, в другой стране и все это по факту — разный интернет, разные подключения. Чтобы всем этим было удобно управлять — и нужна программа Thinkvantage Access Connections, которая может быть установленной уже на ноутах Lenovo. Выглядит приложение примерно так:
Как видите здесь можно выбрать типы интернета на вкладке Connect to the Internet: Wi-Fi, Mobile Broadband (мобильный интернет), WiMax или Other connections (другие типы подключений).

What is Access Connections?
ThinkVantage Access Connections is a connectivity assistant program for your ThinkPad computer. It enables you to quickly switch the network settings and Internet settings by selecting a location profile.
You can define the network settings and Internet settings in the Location Profile for modem/wired LAN/Wireless LAN network devices, and then restore that profile whenever you need it. By switching the location profile, you can connect to the network instantly without reconfiguring your settings when you move from office to home or on the road.
How to deploy Access Connections Profiles
Access Connections is able to import and export location profiles for the wireless adapter. This feature does not export the wireless security configuration and all profile settings. However, you can download and install the optional profile-deployment feature, which enables Access Connections to export wireless security configurations (including static WEP, password, and so on) and all profile settings. - If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
Manual Install
This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
- Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.
- Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.
- Make sure to be logged on with administrative account.
- Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.
- Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- In the «Select Destination Location» window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.
- In the «Ready to Install» window, click Install. All the necessary files will be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.
- Make sure the checkbox next to «Install . now» is checked and click Finish.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.
Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.
Note: This is intended for system administrators only.
- Refer to the «Manual Install» section, and download and extract the file.
- In the step 11 of the «Installing files» section, uncheck the checkbox next to «Install . now», and then click Finish to cancel installation.
- At the command line, execute setup.exe with the /s /v»/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress»
Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\setup /s /v»/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress»
Manual Uninstall
- Start Windows and log on with the administrative account.
- Click Start, and select Control Panel.
- Make sure View by Category is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
- Select ThinkVantage Access Connections, then click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.
Determining Which Version is Installed
- Start the ThinkVantage Access Connections. The main screen will be displayed.
- In the menu bar, click Help, then click About Access Connections.
The version will be displayed next to ThinkVantage Access Connections.
