Как узнать лицензионный ключ (Install Key и OEM Key) в Windows 10

Активированная Windows 10 хранит информацию о ключе, с помощью которого была подтверждена её лицензия. Если вам понадобилось узнать его, то есть несколько способов, позволяющих это сделать. Но перед выполнением поиска следует разобраться, чем Install Key и OEM Key отличаются друг от друга.

Отличие Install Key от OEM Key

Оба типа ключа существуют для одной цели — активации Windows. Но подтверждение лицензии может быть выполнено в разное время: до появления системы на диске, во время установки или после неё.

Install Key — ключ, который вводит сам пользователь, получив его в интернет-магазине Microsoft или купив диск с цифровой версией Windows. OEM — ключ, вшитый в материнскую плату. Его можно встретить в тех случаях, когда компьютер продаётся с уже установленной и активированной Windows.

Итак, если вы подтверждали лицензию самостоятельно, то стоит узнавать Install Key. Если компьютер был куплен с уже активированной Windows, актуальным будет OEM Key. Но не исключено, что ваша версия операционной системы изначально активирована не из-за вшитого ключа, а потому, что продавец самостоятельно ввёл Install Key. Вспомните про данный вариант, если выяснится, что OEM ключ отсутствует.

Значение ключей может совпадать, если вы ничего не вводили самостоятельно. Но в большинстве случаев имеется либо один ключ, либо значения ключей различны. Например, если у вас была Windows 7 или 8, активированная посредством OEM, то переход на Windows 10 во время бесплатной раздачи или после её окончания вызовет генерацию Install Key, который будет отличаться от изначального ключа OEM.

Зачем нужно знать ключ активации Windows

Единственное, для чего использованный ключ может пригодиться повторно, — подтверждение активации Windows, лицензия которой ранее этим ключом уже была подтверждена. Дело в том, что лицензия операционной системы может по некоторым причинам слететь. Например, из-за смены комплектующих или некоторых обновлений.

Для первой и последующих активаций нужен ключ

Если ранее оплаченная система перестала быть лицензионной, её не нужно покупать. Достаточно вспомнить ключ и обратиться в службу поддержки Microsoft: операторы сверят данные и помогут устранить возникшее недоразумение.

Как узнать ключ системными средствами

Существует несколько методов, позволяющих узнать как OEM, так и Install Key. Системные средства могут показаться более сложными, чем сторонние программы, описанные ниже, но в то же время вам не придётся загружать дополнительные приложения и бояться, что ключ будет украден злоумышленниками, распространяющими вредоносные программы.

Поиск Install Key через PowerShell

Разверните любой текстовый редактор и скопируйте в него предоставленные строки скрипта. Полученный файл сохраните под любым именем, но обязательно назначьте ему расширение .ps1.

После создания файла выполните следующие действия:

1. Откройте программу PowerShell от имени администратора. Откройте PowerShell с правами администратора
2. Выполните команду Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned. В окне появится уведомление, требующее от вас подтверждения действия. Нажмите клавишу Y, имеющую значение Yes («Да»), и Enter.
3. Пропишите путь до файла вместе с именем файла, например, D:\file.sp1, и нажмите Enter. Скрипт, скопированный ранее в документ, запустится на выполнение. Через несколько секунд он закончит работу, и вы увидите Install Key, прописанный в строке с одноимённым названием. Запускаем скрипт в PowerShell, чтобы получить ключ

Поиск Install Key через скрипт

Существует аналогичный скрипт, подобный вышеописанному, но на другом языке.

1. Создайте файл с представленным кодом и расширением .vbs. Создайте файл с VBS-скриптом
2. Полученный файл откройте двойным щелчком. На экране появится окно с информацией о ключе и версии Windows. Файл с VBS-скриптом выдаст информацию об Install Key

Поиск OEM Key через PowerShell

Если вы желаете узнать ключ, вшитый в материнскую плату, то выполните строку (Get-WmiObject -query «select * from SoftwareLicensingService»).OA3xOriginalProductKey в окне PowerShell, запущенном от имени администратора.

Поиск OEM Key через «Командную строку»

Узнать OEM Key можно и с помощью команды wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey, выполненной в «Командной строке», запущенной от имени администратора. Не важно, каким именно способом, данным или предыдущим, вы воспользуетесь, результат будет одинаков. Отличаются лишь команды и среды их выполнения.

Как узнать ключ при помощи сторонних приложений

Все нижеописанные способы требуют загрузки дополнительных бесплатных или частично бесплатных программ. Ничего сложного они не выполняют, поэтому весить будут немного. Сторонние программы упрощают поиск OEM и Install ключа, их стоит использовать в том случае, если вышеописанные способы по каким-то причинам не сработали.

Все приложения, представленные в списке, популярны и безопасны, то есть, используя их, вы не рискуете поделиться своим ключом с посторонним лицом. Но быть уверенным в безопасности программы можно только в том случае, если она была загружена с официального сайта разработчика, а не со стороннего ресурса.

ShowKeyPlus

Особенность программы в том, что она не требует установки. Загруженный файл достаточно открыть, после чего на экране появится некоторая информация о системе, в том числе OEM и Install ключ. Неперегруженный интерфейс позволяет с лёгкостью узнать все необходимые данные.

Pre-installed windows serial number

I intend to buy a laptop which has windows 10 pre-installed, I want to make sure I won’t lose it, so in case the activated windows copy was uninstalled for any reason, can I reinstall an unactivated windows copy using a bootable usb flash memory for example and activate it with the serial number of the pre-installed windows that came with the laptop in the first place? If yes, how can I find that serial number?

When manufacturers pre-install Windows 10 the hardware is registered on MS activation servers. As long as you clean install the same edition, Home, Pro, Single Language then activation will be automatic.

If you want to see the licence key then open a PowerShell (Admin) and enter

wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey and press return.

in Some laptops , product key is embedded in the motherboard , in this case , whenever you reinstall windows 10 , it will be automatically activated .

in some laptops , product key is added through Windows image , in that case , reinstallation might not activate .

you can do this , after successful activation , you can find product key by software , then you can write on the paper

You will not need a Windows 10 Product Key. Windows 10 licencing is different to previous versions of Windows.

When you initially activate Windows 10, a digital entitlement for your laptop to run Windows 10 is stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers.

Then if you ever need to re-install Windows 10, once the installation is complete, Windows will automatically contact the Activation server and self activate, without any user input — the only thing to make sure of, is that you install the same Edition of Windows 10 (Home, Pro . . .etc.)

Press Windows key + X

Click Windows PowerShell (admin)

Enter the following command:

wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey

When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows or receive a new computer preinstalled with Windows 10, what happened is the hardware (your PC) will get a digital entitlement, where a unique signature of the computer will be stored on Microsoft Activation Servers. The Windows 7 or Windows 8 genuine license you were previously running will be exchanged for a diagnostics key.

Anytime you need to reinstall Windows 10 on that machine, just proceed to reinstall Windows 10. It will automatically reactivate. You will prompted to enter a product key a couple times through the installation, click I don’t have a key and Do this later.

There is no need to know or get a new key, but if you have issues with Digital Licensing or the Activation Troubleshooter, you can utilize an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key you already own to reactivate if necessary. or use the reset function in Windows 10.

Go to a working computer, download, create a bootable copy, then perform a clean install.

Once your computer is set to boot from the DVD, you should see this option. If you are installing from a retail Windows 10 USB thumb drive, you will be asked to select either 32 or 64 bit Windows 10. Learn more here https://www.groovypost.com/howto/choose-windows.

The Windows logo will appear on screen, this might be here for a while, as long as you see the animating dots, everything should be ok.

Select your Language, Time and Keyboard method then click Next.

Click Install now

Windows 10 setup will prompt you for a product key during installation a couple times. If you originally upgraded from Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 click the option ‘I don’t have a key’ and ‘Do this later’ . If you have a Windows 10 product key, you can proceed to enter it.

Setup will also prompt you to select the edition you have a license for — Home or Pro. Please make sure you choose the right edition. If you choose the wrong edition, your only option will be to perform a clean install again.

The copy of Windows 10 you download and upgrade from will correspond with the edition of Windows you have installed, if it does not, this is why you might be experiencing problems activating:

Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Windows 8.0 Core, Windows 8.1 Core should install Windows 10 Home

Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 8.0 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro should install Windows 10 Pro

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHICH EDITION YOUR SYSTEM CAME WITH, CHOOSE WINDOWS 10 HOME.

Wait while setup prepares to copy files

Accept the license terms then click Next

Click Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)

NOTE: Sometimes Windows 10 setup can become confused if it see’s a thumb drive. You might get a driver missing error or something to that effect. If you do, restart setup, but this time, when you arrive at the following screen, disconnect your thumb drive then go through Custom options. When setup is ready copy files, it will prompt you to reconnect the installation source (your USB).

Select the drive then click New

NOTE: If you have multiple partitions listed, select each one (starting at the bottom), then click delete until there is only a single (one) unallocated drive displayed in the window.

Select the unallocated drive listed, click New, click Apply then OK

This will split the drive into multiple partitions, select the Primary partition then click Next.

NOTE: The System Reserved partition is where recovery files are kept for diagnostics and repairing damaged Windows 10 files; or even reinstall Windows 10.

Wait while Windows installs

When this phase of setup is complete, Windows will automatically restart then reboot into setup again.

Windows is detecting and installing your hardware. After this is complete, Windows will restart one last time.
