Hey guys. Has anyone gotten Windows 10 to play nice after upgrading their card? I had the tech preview and could never get the optimus to switch to the m, but was able to install the tech preview. I’m running Prema’s bios and vbios on the card. When I installed inf chipset file, after restart, one of cards has Intel HD drivers. And them I installed last drivers from NVidia and works fine. Be careful because W8 and W8. So if W10 detects your Realtek Ethernet or your WiFi Killer, the best that you can do is not intall manufacture drivers.

I did a Windows reset and now hotkey works sometimes. It seems like either the driver order at startup determines if Hotkey will work, or some other thing I haven’t identified yet.

In my case, Hotkey working depends on an audio device being functional at startup. I tend to keep my realtek disabled so I can only use my USB dac, but Hotkey will only work if the dac is plugged in at startup. Sager NP backlit KB, vs. Windows 10 Discussion in ‘ Sager and Clevo ‘ started by mars-redOct 5, I did a bit of searching about this topic here, and didn’t come up with anything I registered here pretty much just to post about this. I don’t know if there are others here in the same boat, but if they are I think I can do a little bit to help.

I did the windows 10 upgrade this past weekend, and was not surprised to find that the backlit keyboard control no longer worked. I got an error message about the driver being incompatible every bootup.

The has no windows 10 drivers available it appears there are no win 10 drivers for any of the older 8 color keyboardsbut some of the newer models with the RGB keyboards did have windows 10 drivers I tried them, and the hotkeys functioned but the control app didn’t work for setting custom colors it appears to not be backwards compatible with the 8 color keyboards.

I read some posts online indicating that the old driver would function after Windows 10 did some updates after «a few» reboots, but that certainly wasn’t the case for me, for whatever reason. So, to be able to set my custom keyboard colors again, I left the newer drivers installed the ones for windows 10, with the control app that only works with the newer RGB keyboards and wrote my own little app for setting the colors.

The new drivers do appear to provide the «old» 8 color interface, even though the control app bundled with them does not use them.

I got a handle on the WMI interface for controlling them from an open source linux driver written in C, without having that as a reference I probably wouldn’t have bothered.

Bluetooth is not working after Windows 10 upgrade

I’m going to refine it a bit, and may turn it into a little service that responds to the FN hotkeys relating to the keyboard lights. I do plan on open sourcing it. If there is anyone else here in the same boat, that is interested in using or building on this, then let me know and I’ll keep this thread up-to-date with progress and will link to the project page when it is available. Major step in prettying it up — it now shows an image of an NP keyboard with the selected colors changing in real time along with the actual keyboard LEDs.

Hard to tell where the boundaries really are on the real keyboard, but this is close enough for me. I’ll get rid of the stupid text boxes and make the keyboard image interactive for the color selection. The brightness slider will turn into something better too. Depending on how much, if at all, anyone else cares about this, I may then look at turning this into a background service that responds to the «Fn» hotkeys.

I have a feeling, though, that will mean having to take over and handle all of the Fn hotkeys so that Flexikey can be disabled completely. Not sure the two would jive together. That’s a lot more work, obviously, so I don’t want to do it if nobody needs or wants it. For my own purposes, I have a way to set my custom colors again and that’s all I was after in the first place. EDIT: I should probably go ahead and throw something on there for activating the other modes too dance, random, etc.

Делюсь своим модом BIOS для P870КМ и свежим EC, всё оттестировано лично на моем P870KM, и работает без каких либо проблем.

BIOS — за основу взят BIOS версии 1.07.16 от Р870ТМ, чейнджлог от Clevo не известен, есть поддержка RTX карт (с inf модом драйвера)

Изменения:
— кастом лого
— разблокированы скрытые меню
— поддержка ЦП 7/8/9 поколений
— ME FW заменен на версию 11.7.0.1261 для совместимости с P870KM (чипсета Z270 с ЦП 8/9 поколений)
— дополнительные микрокоды ЦП

EC — версия 1.07.10 от Р870ТМ, чейнджлог от Clevo не известен

UPD от 04.12.19 архив перезалит:
— микрокоды ЦП обновлены на версии от 14.08.19

UPD от 07.12.19 архив перезалит:
— МЕ открыт для записи (в дальнейшем прошивка возможна без ввода команды meset)
— подправлены строки BIOS c описанием, для правильного отображения и определения софтом модели ноутбука (P870KM)

UPD от 15.12.19 архив перезалит:
— добавлена поддержка ВК GTX 1060 и RTX 2060/2070/2080 (без модификации драйверов)

Инструкция по прошивке:

vBIOS:
Возможно вам потребуется обновить vBIOS видеокарты (GTX 10xx) для нормальной работы с этой версией BIOS ноутбука, или после прошивки возможен черный экран, инструкция:

1) Для начала проверяем версию GOP vBIOS, распаковываем прикрепленный архив, идем в папку nvflash и запускаем Check_GOP_Version.bat от имени Администратора
2) проверяем UEFI Version, если версия ниже чем 0x30006, например 0x30002, вам потребуется обновить vBIOS на версию из прикрепленного архива, если 0x30006 или выше, то приступаем сразу к прошивке BIOS.
3) Копируем подходящий для вашей карты vbios.rom (они определяются по модели и поддержке SLi/G-Sync) в папку nvflash
4) Запускаем Backup_vBIOS.bat от имени Администратора для сохранения текущего vbios, вы получите backup_master.rom и backup_slave.rom (если у вас установлено 2 видеокарты)
5) Запускаем Flash_vBIOS.bat от имени Администратора для прошивки vBIOS вашей видеокарты (карт)
6) У вас может выскочить сообщение Invalid display adapter index specified, это нормально если у вас установлена только одна видеокарта
7) Снова запускаем Check_GOP_Version.bat от имени Администратора, и проверяем UEFI Version, она должна измениться на 0x3000F

BIOS:
Отформатировать флешку через Rufus во FreeDOS, и закинуть содержимое архива в корень флешки

1) Загружаемся в BIOS, в разделе Security отключаем Secure Boot (по умолчанию отключен)
2) Загружаемся с флешки в режиме UEFI, вводим команду meset (вентиляторы заработают на 100% и ноутбук перезагрузится)
3) Снова загружаемся с флешки, вводим команду fpt -d backup.bin для сохранения в backup.bin текущего BIOS
4) Вводим команду fpt -f p870km.bin -rewrite -y ждем окончания процесса (стирание, прошивка, верификация) и вводим команду fpt -greset (ноутбук перезагрузится с очисткой CMOS)
5) Для отката на предыдущий BIOS повторяем шаг 2 и 4, поменяв команду на fpt -f backup.bin -rewrite -y

EC:
1) Загружаемся в BIOS, в разделе Boot -> UEFI Setting отключаем загрузку в UEFI
2) Загружаемся с флешки, и вводим команду flashec, когда появится синяя табличка прошивальшика жмем Y, ждем окончания процесса, и выключения ноутбука, отключаем ноутбук от сети на 30 секунд
3) Включаем ноутбук, загружаемся в BIOS, и возвращаем загрузку UEFI, как в шаге 1

Предупреждение.
Те кто покупал P870KM у Питерцев (Левинсон/Илья, может других тоже), после прошивки этого BIOS у вас изменится UUID, соотвественно слетит регистрация таких программ как OBSIODIAN FanControl/Updater, для восстановления регистрации обращаться в саппорт OBSIDIAN с просьбой о замене UUID в лицензии, или возвращаться на предыдущий BIOS


Дополнительно:
Если вы обновляетесь для перехода на 8/9 поколение ЦП, вам необходимо сделать пинмод (изолировать контакты ЦП), картинка-инструкция в спойлере

G-Sync работает только с картами линейки GTX и RTX2080
Аудиодрайвер — Realtek UAD — ТУТ
Комбинация Fn+D + Power (для очистки CMOS) не работает (проблема со стороны Clevo)
