Choose how to listen to Dolby Atmos on your iPhone or iPad

1. Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Music.
4. Under Audio, tap Dolby Atmos.
5. Choose Automatic, Always On, or turn Dolby Atmos off.

If you want to use other headphones that don’t support automatic playback, choose Always On.

How to listen to Dolby Atmos on your Android device

iOS 15 и macOS Monterey имитируют Dolby Atmos, когда его нет. Как не стыдно?

Кроме того, компания расширила Spetial Audio, или «Пространственное звучание» — теперь оно поддерживается в аудио- и видеозвонках FaceTime. Обычно эта функция работала только с совместимым контентом в стриминг-платформах — например, Apple TV+ или Disney+. Фильмы на этих площадках поддерживают Dolby Atmos. Однако в iOS 15 компания решила расширить возможности «Пространственного звука».

Специалисты из 9to5Mac обратили внимание, что в первой бета-версии iOS 15 «Пространственное аудио» можно включить не только в отдельных фильмах на стриминге. Оказывается, устройства от Apple теперь могут имитировать аудиосцену, даже если изначально она не поддерживается контентом. Установив iOS 15, iPadOS 15 или macOS Monterey, «Пространственное аудио» можно включить при воспроизведении практически любого трека или видео — чтобы сделать это, нужно открыть «Центр Управления» (шторку), удержать палец на шкале громкости и коснуться иконки «Пространственного стерео». Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos

Support for Dolby Audio™ was first introduced in 2015 with macOS El Capitan (10.11) and support for Dolby Atmos was added with macOS Catalina (10.15) in October 2019.

Mac laptops released in 2018 or later can play Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio content over the device speakers for a great spatial and immersive audio experience.

macOS ships with native CoreAudio decoders for all the major Dolby formats:

• Dolby Digital
• Dolby Digital Plus
• Dolby Atmos (using the Dolby Digital Plus with JOC format)

The macOS Dolby audio decoders are accessible to all developers building apps on the platform, and support for Dolby Audio and/or Dolby Atmos playback is also built into native applications such as Safari, QuickTime Player, QuickLook, DVD Player, etc.

Dolby Vision

Starting with macOS Catalina (10.15), Dolby Vision HDR playback is fully supported on macOS, taking advantage of the P3 Wide Color support on Mac displays and also leveraging the full brightness range of the display. Macs from 2018 and later—and also iMac Pro—are enabled for a new generation of video content that can make full use of the display’s capabilities, with stunning, accurate colors, true blacks, high brightness, and greatly increased contrast.

Just like for Dolby Audio, support for playing back Dolby Vision content is integrated deeply into the OS, including native support in AVPlayer and the HTTP Live Streaming stack. This means that any developer can easily create an app that streams Dolby Vision HDR content.

Creating content in Dolby formats

Support for encoding content in Dolby Audio is included in a number of content creation applications on macOS, including in Apple’s own suite of professional applications with support for Dolby Audio encoding and decoding in Final Cut Pro, Compressor, and Motion.

В Apple Music появилась музыка в формате Lossless и Dolby Atmos. Как её включить

Как включить несжатое аудио в Apple Music

4. Активируйте тумблер рядом с пунктом Аудиофайлы без потерь

Тут же можно выбрать формат, в котором Apple Music будет проигрывать и загружать Lossless Audio.

После этих настроек можно перейти в Apple Music и слушать музыку с новыми функциями.

Пока что не все песни поддерживают пространственное аудио и Lossless. Apple утверждает, что на данный момент только 20 миллионов композиций доступны в формате Lossless и «тысячи треков» c Dolby Atmos. Список будет постепенно расширяться.
