Anastasiy’s Extension Manager is a simple macOS app designed you help you manage your Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite extensions. It offers a minimalistic interface and is easy-to-use, but lacks many advanced functions that some may have found helpful.

Bare-bones app that only offers essential features

Once you have installed and launched Anastasiy’s Extension Manager, you will notice how simple its layout is, as it consists of two panels that display the installed Adobe products and their extensions.

Only two buttons are included, whose functions are pretty self-explanatory: one allows you to install, and the other to remove extensions.

Add new extensions to your Adobe applications and delete existing ones

You can import ZXP and MXP files and install them with the help of this tool, as well as CS4/CS3 extensions saved to the ZIP format.

Items can be deleted with a single mouse click, though you should be careful as you do this, as no confirmation dialog is provided.

Unfortunately, the app does not offer any details about the existing extensions, as the only provided information is their name. This may not be a problem for experienced users who know what each of them is for, but novices will have to make sure they are not uninstalling items that are still necessary.

Straightforward utility that can be useful for quickly installing and uninstalling extensions

Also, extensions cannot be disabled without deleting them from your Mac entirely. For this reason, this application is not so much an extension manager as it is an installer and uninstaller.

Nevertheless, Anastasiy’s Extension Manager is very easy to work with, which is why advanced users may prefer it over other, more complex tools. As an installer/uninstaller, it works very well, although the lack of additional functions does reduce its usefulness.

Tip#98: How to fix Adobe products not showing up in Anastasiy’s Extension Manager

If you experience one or more of the following problems with Anastasiy’s Extension Manager in Adobe Creative Suite (2021 included):

• Only Photoshop is listed in the Anastasiy’s Extension Manager list (or only Adobe Illustrator)
• Photoshop is absent on the extension list
• Adobe extension list is empty/blank
• Extensions don’t show up after installation on Photoshop or other Adobe Creative Cloud products (like InDesign, Illustrator or Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Extension Manager doesn’t list your application or extension
• ZXP extensions are not displayed in the Extension Manager after installation
• Installation of Adobe extension failed

It’s easy to fix! First of all please make sure, you’re using the most recent version of Anastasiy’s Extension Manager – at least v3.6. Then:
1) Click File -> Reset extension list in the main menu of Anastasiy’s Extension Manager
2) That’s it! Now all Adobe products should appear and when you install new extensions (or reinstall old ones) they will re-appear on the list

Anastasiy’s Extension Manager is an Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud extension management software application that boasts install, remove and update support. The UI is as clean as it can be since you have only two fields and two buttons. In one field you have the name of any Adobe software tool you have installed and in the other is a list of their corresponding extensions that you have installed.

Currently, the app boasts supports to Windows versions 7, 8 and 10, both x86 and x64 versions, making it versatile when it comes to the choice of OS.

Anastasiy’s Extension Manager offers support for the following Adobe software tools: Photoshop CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC, CC 2014, CC2015, CC2017 and CC 2018. Not only that but it also offers support for Adobe Illustrator CS3, CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC, CC 2014, CC2015, CC2017 and CC 2018.
